Rajani Shetty is an animal lover. A few months ago, she made headlines for saving a dog from a well. Rajani just doesn’t rescues animals, but she also takes care of them. She feeds around 400 to 500 dogs every day and looks after many dogs, cats, and birds at her home. She lives in Ballalbagh. It all started with her feeding just two dogs on the streets, and now she takes care of hundreds every day.

 During the lockdown, Rajani made sure street dogs had enough to eat. She’s rescued many dogs in Mumbai and in her hometown, Ballalbagh. Many organizations support her efforts to feed the dogs. Every day, she cooks about 21 kilograms of rice for them at home.

Rajani is married to Damodar Shetty and has two daughters, Shwetha and Rithika, and a son named Prathik. In February, a video went viral on social media showing Rajani rescuing a dog from a well. People praised her bravery for climbing down 30 feet into the well to save the dog. Another video that went viral showed her talking to a dog, showing how much she loves and cares for them.
