Richard Lobo is a global management professional with over 25 years of diverse experience spanning functions and industries. Richard holds degrees in engineering and management. He started his career in 1996 with the Godrej group, a large conglomerate in Mumbai. He then joined Infosys, a global IT firm in 2000. He has been an integral part of its growth story. At Infosys, Richard led the transformation of the HR function, bringing in a strong business and people focus. He led its pivot to the new world of work, helped it navigate a complex talent environment as well as brought in focus on upgrading its employee experience, talent advantage and brought in a strong focus on diversity and inclusion.
Currently Richard is a strategic advisor on Human Resources to startups. His work spans organisational change and transformation, scaling people processes, sustainable growth and guiding leadership in creating an unparalleled working environment based on human first principles.
Richard has served as a director on the Boards of Infosys Consulting and Infosys China. Richard is also passionate about nurturing leaders of the future through direct mentoring, and in his spart time, teaches at leading management institutes. He also works with Indian industry bodies like CII and NAASCOM in furthering industry government partnership. As a frequent speaker at industry forums, he highlights the importance of the people function in scaling business and accelerating company performance. Richard was recently recognized by the Economic Times as the HR Leader of 2023.
